Virgin Books is a British publishing imprint founded in 1979 as a subsidiary of Virgin Enterprises, which was owned by British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson. Virgin Books publishes a wide range of books, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry.

Initially, Virgin Books focused on publishing books related to the music industry, such as biographies and guides to different genres of music. However, over time, the company expanded its publishing scope to include books on popular culture, business, travel, and more.

In 2007, Virgin Books became a part of Random House, which is now known as Penguin Random House following a merger in 2013. Despite the acquisition, Virgin Books continues to publish under its own name and has remained an important imprint for the company. Some notable authors published by Virgin Books include Paulo Coelho, Ian Rankin, Salman Rushdie, and Sarah Waters.
