About the Author

Dr Vipul D Yagnik is a renowned Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeon and was awarded the degree of MS (General Surgery) in 2005. He obtained FMAS (Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery) in 2008. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Pramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad, Gujarat for 4½ years where he also handled additional responsibilities as a PG teaching coordinator. During his teaching career, he also served as a member of board of study at Sardar Patel University and an
examiner for surgery in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in homeopathy and physiotherapy. As an executive member of the blood transfusion committee, he was instrumental in revising the blood transfusion protocol.

He has more than 85 scientific publications in various International journals to his credit. Of these, 57 papers are indexed in PUBMED. He is currently an editor for many international peer-reviewed biomedical scientific journals (Clinics and Practice, Clinical and Experimental Gastroenterology and Internet Journal of Medical Update) and a member of various professional organizations such as WAME, AMASI, ASI, IAGES and ISCP.
