About the Author

Renu Misra, MBBS, MS, is a renowned obstetrician, gynaecologist and IVF expert. She is a dedicated teacher and a highly skilled clinician and surgeon. Dr. Misra has nearly 40 years of experience as a practicing obstetrician/gynaecologist, and 22 years as teaching faculty. She has served as a faculty for over a decade in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, from where she took voluntary retirement. Her experience abroad includes 1-year fellowship each in reproductive endocrinology and in minimally invasive surgery in UK. Currently, she is working as Director Kamna Fertility & IVF, Gurugram and Senior Consultant at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science & Research, New Delhi.

Sharmila Arun Babu, MBBS, MS, FMAS, Dip RM, MBA (HM), is currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at AIIMS Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh. She completed her MBBS and MS (Obstetrics and Gynecology) from the prestigious JIPMER, Puducherry, where she was awarded the Gold Medal in her MS examination. Additionally, she holds Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery, Diploma in Reproductive Medicine and MBA in Hospital Management. With over 16 years of teaching experience, she is a dedicated educator and mentor. She is also the author of the bestselling textbook ‘Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology’ published by Wolters Kluwer India and the editor of the SAE adaptation of ‘Te Linde’s Operative Gynecology’.
